About Albania

Albania is a beautiful country with untouched nature

  • It is located on the southern tip of the Adriatic, and offers both sandy beaches and rocky bays
  • Beaches cover around 360 km of the coastline
  • In the background are tall majestic mountains
  • Even in January, temperatures hover around 15 °C
  • The tourist season in Albania lasts 5 to 6 months, unlike in the surrounding countries

The azure sea borders on sandy or pebbly beaches, mountains with wild, breathtaking nature, exotic cuisine with fresh fish and excellent wine, modern beach promenades and quiet bays, the ever-growing tourist industry with easy accessibility has prices far below EU.

Country of the Balkan Peninsula

Albania is a Mediterranean country, in southeastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula. It borders Montenegro to the north, North Macedonia to the east, and Greece to the southeast. The western part of Albania lies on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, the southwestern part lies on the coast of the Ionian Sea. It has a long history dating back to 2000 BC

Albania is a country which was influenced by the Greeks, Illyrians, Romans, Venetians, Byzantines and Ottoman. Experience this impressive cocktail of cultures for yourself!

Albanian cuisine

  • Seafood cuisine
  • Traditional Balkan cuisine
  • Fresh local ingredients
  • Olives, figs, olive oil, citrus fruits, cheeses, wines and much more

Albania is so close to the Italian border that it has absorbed much of its culture. Albanian pizza is excellent, probably second best after Italian pizza. On the coast, you can eat delicious fresh shrimps, mussels, fish, calamari, … and all at reasonable prices.

In addition to Italian cuisine, you can frequently encounter here Greek cuisine. Most produce in Albania comes from local farmers who don't have enough money for pesticide and therefore basically all local produce is organic.
